Layers (Five Layer Selfie)
For this selfie collage, I chose 4 photos: a street lamp, a gingerbread house, pumpkins, my dog, and for the background; a picture of Puerto Rico. Each of these pictures holds a special meaning to me.
The street lamp is a photo I took last December when I went downtown with my friends. It reminds me of a fun time hanging out with them, and also just my friends in general.
The gingerbread house is similar: my friends and I had competition building them, and in the photo is my friend placing his final decoration on top. This in particular reminds me of my good friend who moved away, because she was back in town when we hung out.
Last fall, I went to a market with my mom to get those pumpkins. That photo is special because it reminds me of my mom.
Why my dog, Marco, is special to me doesn't need much explaining. I love dogs, especially my own.

Lilacs (Double Exposure)
My five layer selfie and my double exposure have multiple things in common. They both have to do with nature and family, and the pictures I used for both are associated with good memories. I would say family and nature are two of the three most important things to me, the other being friends, but I didn't have one photo that reflected all of those for my double exposure. I think the five layer selfie more outright shows what my values are and reflects me as a person, but for the double exposure you might have to dig a little deeper to find out what the image I used (my mom with lilac trees) means to me. The quote also reflects me but not in the same way as the photos do. My favorite part about the five layer selfie was arranging and cutting out the photos so it all fit well together, and my favorite part about the double exposure was finding a quote.
